Supervised Assessment - BAS

Good Afternoon,

As you know you have your next supervised assessment date approaching this week. Here’s how it works

1. Attend Wiseclick for a 9am start

2. Wait to be let into the training room

3. Trainer will go over what is required and all students will commence together

4. All students must leave the room at 10.30am and 12pm for breaks – Trainer will advise when to take breaks

5. Complete all parts of the assessment on the day

In a nut shell on the day I will release the supervised assessment to you on Cloud Assess and you must complete it here. It is open book and you are allowed to ask your trainer questions 😊

The normal time for the day is 9am till 2.30pm but we will allow up to 4.30pm to complete if required, we know students work at different speeds. The important thing is you must complete it here on the day.

In preparation I have listed the client you will be working with. Please make yourself familiar with the information in the client data files. Please do NOT change or edit the information as the tasks on the day will provide instruction on what is required.

• Build It Up Constructions

You will require knowledge of the below areas for this assessment:

• Setting up a MYOB or Xero File
• Reading client notes
• Entering sales and purchases including Funded insurance, Residential rental properties, Motor Vehicle purchases, Overseas transactions, sub-contractors
• Fuel Tax calculations
• Private portion adjustments
• Preparing activity statement using BAS checklist

Note payroll is not required for this assessment it is mainly data entry with some complex GST and preparing the BAS for a client.

Please let me know if you do not feel ready for this assessment and we can arrange another date for you to sit it.

Rules to remember

• Do not discuss assessment tasks with others
• Leave the training room at break times
• Keep Calm – If your not sure what to do, ask for help
• Try not to over think it 😊
